About Forever Jewellers: Our Story
Welcome to Forever Jewellers, where my passion for the timeless art of jewellery-making comes to life, imbued with the vibrant spirit of Aotearoa. My name is Marius van der Bank, and the world of precious metals and exquisite stones has been my lifelong calling. As a second-generation jeweller, I inherited a rich tradition of craftsmanship from my father Andre' van der Bank, gaining over 30 years of hands-on experience in the industry. For many years, I honed my skills at our family's long-standing business in South Africa, Van der Bank Jewellers, and later ran my own successful venture, Diamonds4Ever, building a solid foundation in the art of fine jewellery.
A New Chapter in Aotearoa
Seven years ago, my young family and I embarked on an exciting journey, making the move to beautiful New Zealand. Since arriving, I've had the invaluable experience of contributing my skills to two of the largest jewellery workshops on the South Island, right here in Christchurch. For years, I've had the honour of crafting and restoring countless cherished pieces for New Zealanders, deepening my connection to this land and its people.

Forever Jewellers isn't just a business; it's the culmination of inherited artistry, a deep-seated passion, and unwavering personal dedication. My expertise is formally recognized through trade certifications as a jeweller, both internationally and here in New Zealand. I also hold specialised qualifications as a Gem/Diamond Setter and a Certified CAD Jewellery Designer. This powerful combination of traditional bench skills and modern technological mastery allows me to approach every project with unparalleled precision and creativity.

Our Vision for the Future
While we're initially an online store and a convenient point of contact for appointments, my vision is to grow. I hope to open a physical brick-and-mortar store in Rangiora or Kaiapoi as soon as the opportunity allows, creating a dedicated space where we can connect even more personally.
